About Asian Youth Theatre Festival
The Asian Youth Theatre Festival (AYTF) was first conceived in 2016 as a vehicle of change, connecting Asia through performance, dialogue, workshops and exchange programmes.
The festival held annually over a four-day period has engaged more than 520,769 youths to date, through direct contact, social media and live streams. Current participating nations include: Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Philippines, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Vietnam, Thailand, Japan and Bangladesh.
The theme for 2021, is Colours Of Asia, its advocacy Uniting Asia & Anchoring Traditions.
Half sisters Lia and Ayla are celebrating their birthdays. Budi, their employee, is burdened with an issue back at home. When Ayla announces she’s flying off, things don’t go well for her and her sister.
“Strings Attached” is a drama concerning the different colours that make up our identity. The play attempts to explore the connections people have that make them who they are. But beyond who we are, what are we?
